Editorial Development & Insights for Entertainment Marketing
ADDING POLISH TO EVERY PRESENTATION.
I love helping new work debut to the world. I unite the big picture with fine details to let clients perfect their creations – whether pinpointing the most stirring music for a trailer, finding the best tagline for a movie poster, or gauging fan excitement for an IP adaptation.
I’m an entertainment advertising researcher and strategist with MarketCast, analyzing audience reactions to film trailers, key art, and concepts before their release. Previously I worked on the entertainment ad agency side with Art Machine and Trailer Park, as well as for 20th Century Fox, film festivals, and brand advertising. I’ve also copy edited multiple books for Penguin Random House.
Originally from North Carolina and now based in Los Angeles, I majored in film studies at Yale and received my MA in film and media from UC Santa Barbara. I’m also an alum of the LA Review of Books Publishing Workshop, where I created an event concept to showcase book manuscripts using a film-market model.
My genre interests range from science fiction and thrillers to music biopics and arthouse films, with a special love for book-to-film adaptations and the historical evolution of TV. Favorite cultural touchstones include William Gibson’s Neuromancer, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, Bohemian Rhapsody, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, the Mission Impossible and Bond franchises, Slow Horses, Silo, and Conclave – the list is always growing!
